Of course, the author could have been more thorough, but it's good enough to get the basic gist of how to solve the problems.
If too much was spelled out it might have detracted from the learning value. Sorry, that's the teacher in me coming out. It was a little annoying that it doesn't have a hard cover, but I guess they make up for that by making it slightly cheaper. Think of it as a rite of passage to take a quantitative chemical analysis course. It's similar to general chemistry but covers way smaller numbers. Get used to scientific notation. Good luck.
